25th Göcek Youth and Sports Cup Races Completed

The Spring Sailing Race Week, organized by Göcek Yacht Club every year in May, was held in Fethiye Gulf this year between May 12-16, 2025.

The Spring Sailing Race Week, organized by Göcek Yacht Club every year in May, was held in Fethiye Gulf this year between May 12-16, 2025. In the race week, which was held with the participation of a total of 59 boats, 475 sailors from 18 countries completed the races organized in 6 different groups.

The boats competed in 6 different divisions: IRC 1, IRC 2, IRC 3, IRC 4, IRC CHARTER 1, IRC CHARTER 2.

After the registrations were completed on Monday, May 13, 2024, the race week started with the Opening Cocktail organized by Göcek D-Resort. At the end of the 6 races held in four days, awards were given to the winners of the day races and the teams that ranked in the top 3 in Overall.

The teams that ranked first in Overall;

• IRC Group 1 Winning Team – Rossko Racer
• IRC Group 2 Winning Team – St Anna
• IRC Group 3 Winning Team –Sail La Vie
• IRC Group 4 Winning Team – Hey Teacher
• IRC Charter Group 1 Winning Team – Juana
• IRC Charter Group 2 Winning Team – Capella 2

The boats participating in the race were hosted by the main sponsor D-Marin Göcek Marina, as they are every year. D Resort Serenity Yachting and Servet Şekerleme, sponsors of the Race Weeks, presented the racers with a day trophy for a race organized in their name.

A day race trophy was also presented to Tilos Travel, one of our local companies that sponsored our race for the first time this year.

In the race held on May 15, Esteemed Tolon ARSAL, who made great efforts in the establishment of our Göcek Yacht Club and whom we lost in December, was remembered on the stage and his precious wife Yonca ARSAL presented the day trophy awards to the winners.

The teams participating in the 25th Göcek Race Week also celebrated the 19th of May Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day at the event night. Thanks to the races that grow with increasing participants every year and the local supporters and sponsors who make great contributions to the Göcek Yacht Club, the 25th GÖCEK Youth and Sports Cup Sailing Races were completed successfully.

The 23rd Göcek Atatürk Cup, which will be held in November this year, will be held between 03-07 November 2025.
